Spray Foam Machines
The core and most essential piece of any spray foam business, the proportioning unit needs to be of the highest quality and craftsmanship which is all you will find from Paratus. We carry the entire line of Graco spray foam machines that provide the industry's leading technology and the best support, service, and warranty coverage available.
What makes up a spray foam machine?
Hydraulic Pump System
These pumps are hydraulically driven side to side and meter the exact amount of material needed for the desired ratio, then push the material out to the hose and onto the gun.Output and Pressure Rating
Each machine has a measure output, how much it can dispense over time, and a pressure rating, pressure generated to mix chemicals at the gun. Remember that operating pressures are often less than the max rated.Heating Capacity
Spray foam requires the chemicals to be heated in order to spray properly, usually at least 120°F. Ensure your machine has strong heaters and they are in working order or else it will greatly affect your foam's performance.Electrical System
Spray foam machines will require a electrical connection for the heaters and control systems. Both 220v single and three phase are the most common requirements, make sure you have the proper power available. -

Spray Foam Guns
Arguable one of the most important pieces of your spray foam system will be your spray gun. Paratus carries the most extensive line-up of spray foam guns available in the industry. All of our spray foam equipment comes with the highest levels of support and service that is rarely matched by any competitors.
What types of spray foam guns are there?
Air Purge
The most common, affordable, and easiest to use type of spray foam gun are the air purge family of guns. A quick, high-pressure blast of air is used to purge the chemicals from the gun each time its triggered.Mechanical Purge
Similar to the air purge, except instead of a quick blast of air a mechanical valving rod is used to purge the gun between triggering. This gun is less common, but very reliable and trusted by many.Solvent Purge
The most uncommon and costly of the three types, solvent purge use an actual liquid to clean the gun between each trigger. This is costly because of the solvent, the mechanics, and disposal of the used solvent. -

Transfer Pumps
The transfer pump in an essential component to your spray foam system, you will not be able to spray without them. The transfer pump is responsible for pumping the material from each the A and B drum and delivering it to the spray foam machine which then heats, proportions, and sends it onto the heated hose.
What types of transfer pumps are there?
Different Outputs
Transfer pumps typically come in two different builds, one with a higher outpout per stroke and one with a lower output per stroke. Each pump is a 2:1 ratio pump with outputs typically varying between 1.5 gallons per minute to 3.0 gallons per minute depending on the size of the specific transfer pump.Different Sizes
You will hear of transfer pumps sometimes referred to 'stubby' which means the pump is small in all other aspects aside from it length. Stubby pumps vs. regular pumps are usually 20 to 30% shorter allowing for them fit in more difficult trailers or rigs, but beware a shorter pumps means it will have a harder time reaching the bottom of 55 gallon drums. -
